The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 24 National Law Universities in India. CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities.
All admissions to the 5-year integrated LLB. And one year LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2024-2025 shall be through the CLAT 2024.
The Zonal Coordinator CLAT 2024, Prof. Nishtha Jaswal (Vice Chancellor of HPNLU Shimla) observed that the number of CLAT aspirants from the State of Himachal Pradesh is increasing every year. It shows increased awareness amongst the students and parents of Himachal about the Legal Education and Career in Law.
A total of 314 candidates (204 UG; 110 PG) were assigned at the HPNLU Centre. The Number of Girls aspirants were higher than the boys.
