Chamba: A meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Mukesh Repaswal to review issues related to drinking water quality in the district.
During the meeting, the progress of water sample testing through field test kits, the status of laboratory testing by the Jal Shakti Department and the progress of sanitary surveys were reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to ensure regular testing of water samples using field test kits to continuously monitor water quality. He also asked laboratories of the Jal Shakti Department to make the sample testing process more effective.
Repaswal instructed the departments concerned to complete the sanitary survey work at the earliest and emphasised coordination among departments to ensure the supply of safe and clean drinking water to the public.
Jitendra Sharma and officers from various departments were present at the meeting.
