A devotee died on Sunday at Maa Chintpurni temple in Una district, a famous religious place in Himachal Pradesh. The deceased was identified as Shradhalu Ravindra Kumar, a resident of District Ludhiana Pakhowal Road SBS Nagar. The devotee died due to cardiac arrest. The police have started investigation by taking possession of the dead body.
At the same time, after the accident, the temple administration immediately opened the lift for the disabled and the elderly. Now in Baba Shri Mai Das Sadan, the temple administration has registered and started sending darshan slips and passes to the elderly and differently-abled in sequence, so that no one has to stand in the queue for a long time.
The matter was confirmed by temple officer Balwant Patial. He said that the deceased elderly man was queuing up at Gate No. 3 and was pleading with the Home Guard jawans to open the scissor gate, but when the gate was not opened for a long time, the elderly man had to stay in the queue. Meanwhile, suddenly he left.
The Home Guard jawans immediately picked him up and took him to the hospital, but the doctor declared him brought dead. He died of a heart attack. In fact, due to the closure of the lift of the temple, the elderly and differently-abled have to climb the stairs to reach near the top of the temple, due to which the elderly of Ludhiana died on Sunday.
