Now the elderly of the state will get relief on e-KYC of the ration card. The elderly who are not able to get e-KYC done will now have to give their information to the food inspector of the concerned area. The food inspector will give the information of those elderly in the office of the District Food Supply Controller. After this, the names of the elderly will be unblocked from the ration card. Along with this, the e-KYC of women who have left their husband’s house or women who are divorced or who have left their homes is not being done.
In such a situation, only women will be blocked in the ration card of the family by the department. According to the information, the work of unblocking ration cards is going on in full swing by the Food Supply Department in the state. Meanwhile, many elderly people of the state are facing problems blinking their eyes or due to illness while getting e-KYC done. Due to the lack of e-KYC of these elderly, their names have been unblocked from the ration card; now the Directorate has given them relief.
The Food Supply Department Shimla has provided relief to the elderly who are facing problems in e-KYC. The information of these elderly people will have to be given to the food inspector in the District Food Supply Office, after which, instead of doing the e-KYC of the elderly from the District Controller’s Office, the name of the consumer will be unblocked from the ration card by the District Controller. – Purushottam Singh, District Controller, Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Department, Kangra
