Those who have not paid the electricity bill in Shimla city will now be disconnected. The State Electricity Board has now issued a final warning in this regard. Those who have not paid 15 electricity bills in the city have been given 15 days’ opportunity. If no one pays the electricity bill within 15 days, the electricity board management will disconnect the electricity connection.
According to the information received from the Board, under the Jatog sub-division in Shimla, many consumers in Tutue Majyat, Lower Tutue, Taviye Sandal, Chakkarai, MES, Area A, Jatogai, Hiranagarai, Paneshai, Banutia Jubbarhatti, Taradevi, Shoghi Industrial Area, Sankat Mochan, Kachi Valley have not submitted bills for the last 2 months. Consumers have been asked to deposit their electricity bills as soon as possible.
If the bills are not paid before December 19, the power supply will be disconnected. Along with the bill amount, consumers will also have to pay surcharge. Yogesh Kumar, assistant engineer of the electricity sub-division, said that no advance notice will be given after the 19th for disconnecting the electricity connection. In such a situation, this should now be considered as the last notice.
