• Employees are suffering under Congress rule, youth are looking for jobs and the government is eliminating hundreds of posts.
Shimla, BJP chief spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal said that the Congress government is not a government for public welfare, but rather for public distress. They made big promises to come to power, but immediately backtracked upon them. Ever since the disaster called Congress has struck Himachal Pradesh, the entire public has been suffering.
He stated that due to the government’s stubborn attitude and the 108-102 ambulance employees’ strike to enforce their demands, ambulance services across the state will be disrupted from 8 p.m. on October 2nd to 8 p.m. on October 3rd. This means that people will be deprived of 108-102 ambulance services for a 24-hour period. The state’s 108 and 102 ambulance employee unions, affiliated with CITU, have decided to go on strike to protest the anti-employee policies of the NHM and MadSwan Foundation management. Officials of the 108-102 ambulance employee union say that these employees, working under the MadSwan Foundation, the primary employer of the NHM, are victims of exploitation. However, the Congress government appears to be ignoring the employees’ plight.
He said that a total of 633 sanctioned posts for officers and employees were available at Himuda. Of these, 352 were filled, while 281 were vacant. However, the government, which is committed to system change, has abolished 327 posts. This is being considered a major blow to thousands of unemployed people preparing for government jobs. Decisions are being made everywhere that no politician could dream of. This Congress government is the one that abolished 150,000 sanctioned posts with a single notification. A total of 385 forest guard posts are vacant within the Forest Department in the state, but the Congress government is not focusing on permanent jobs, but is instead working on the appointment of forest, water, and electricity friends. Today, outsourced employees in Himachal Pradesh are suffering; salaries in the Tourism Department are not paid, and financial progress is hampered even after promotions.
The previous BJP government issued a notification on September 6, 2022, removing the two-year rider on higher grade pay after regularization. This increased employees’ salaries by 10,000 to 20,000 rupees. However, the Congress government’s notification issued a few days ago reduced salaries by the same amount. This has caused panic among employees. When the Chief Minister learned that such a decision had been made, he had to withdraw the notification. However, what followed was an inquiry into the notification. Making a wrong decision and then initiating an inquiry to uncover it has become part of a new systemic change.
