A tragic accident has happened in Shivabdar Panchayat of Drang Assembly constituency of Mandi district. Here, 2 people were swept away by the strong current of water while crossing the ravine. One person lost his life in this accident, whose body has been recovered, while the search for the other person is still on. According to the information, both persons had gone to visit a nearby temple. When they were crossing the wooden bridge in the ravine, they were suddenly swept away by the strong current of water.
As soon as the incident came to light, there was a stir in the entire village. Local people immediately reached the spot and started rescue work at their own level, as well as informed the administration. As soon as the information was received, teams of local police, administration and rescue team reached the spot. After hours of hard work, the body of a person named Prem was recovered at some distance from the spot. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem, and a search operation is being conducted to search for the other missing person Manohar.
