Ayurveda is important for overall health – Virendra Singh
Justice Virendra Singh, Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, said that Ayurveda is India’s unique gift to the world and is crucial for overall health. Virendra Singh was addressing doctors, journalists and other intellectuals present here today after inaugurating a free mega health check-up camp organized jointly by the Press Club Solan, Sanatan Dharma Sabha Rabon and the Bhardwaj family.
Virendra Singh said that Ayurveda is our ancient heritage. It is the science of balance between body, mind, and spirit. The importance of the Ayurvedic system is growing in modern times. It not only treats diseases but also emphasizes disease prevention and a better lifestyle. He said that through Ayurveda, disease can be eradicated completely.
He urged people to adopt Ayurvedic medicine. He stated that Ayurvedic medicine has no side effects and has a positive effect on the individual. He added that Ayurveda places special importance on yoga, pranayama, a balanced diet, and a disciplined daily routine.
Virendra Singh said that drug addiction has emerged as a major challenge today. He added that everyone’s cooperation is needed to keep youth away from addiction. He added that the judiciary is organizing district legal literacy camps in villages to educate people about the ill effects of drug addiction and to protect youth from addiction.
Virendra Singh urged young people to avoid online games and embrace traditional outdoor sports. He urged parents to keep their children exposed to ancient culture, traditions, and values.
Praising the organisers, Managing Director of State Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation, Ajay Kumar Yadav said that such camps prove helpful in providing health services to the needy people and helping the patients.
On this occasion, social worker Jagdish Bhardwaj welcomed the chief guest and threw light on the organization and outline of the medical camp.
Patron of Sanatan Dharma Sabha Solan Swadhin Chandra Gaud, District Ayurvedic Officer Kinnaur Dr. Praveen Sharma, Dr. Lokesh Mamghai, Advocate Atul Bhardwaj shared their valuable views on this occasion.
At the health camp, 316 Ayurvedic and 150 homeopathic patients were examined, and 105 patients were tested for diabetes. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
