Baddi, March 18: The Department of Business Management and Commerce at IEC University organised a one-day workshop on “Gamification: Financial Literacy and Securities Markets”, aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of financial concepts through interactive learning.
Students from B.Com, BBA, MBA and M.Com programmes participated in the workshop. SEBI Smart Certified Trainer Viraj Singal, who was the keynote speaker, explained the fundamentals of financial literacy and securities markets in a simple and engaging manner. He emphasised the role of gamification in making complex financial concepts easier to grasp.
The session witnessed active participation from students, who engaged in discussions and posed several queries, making the workshop interactive and insightful.
Speaking at the conclusion, Head of the Department, Dr Vikas Sheoran, said the workshop proved beneficial in strengthening students’ practical knowledge of financial literacy and securities markets. He also expressed gratitude to Dr Ravinder Singh Madan, Dean, School of Engineering, for his support in successfully organising the event.
