Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today paid obeisance at the historic and world famous Golden Temple in Amritsar and prayed for the prosperity of the people of the State.
The Chief Minister said that the Golden Temple was a symbol of our faith and devotion and it is here that one realizes the primacy of karma and the vastness of Indian culture.
He said that the relevance of the teachings of the Sikh Gurus is held in high esteem even today and we all can achieve the real goal of life by following the path shown by the Gurus.
The Chief Minister was welcomed to Harmandir Sahib on behalf of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak (Management) Committee (SGPC) and was detailed about the history of the Golden Temple.
A replica of the Golden Temple and a set of holy books were presented to the Chief Minister by the SGPC.
Chief Secretary, Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Bharat Khera and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion
