Shimla, April 17
The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee has announced the appointment of Block Congress Committee Presidents across the state with immediate effect.
The official order, issued from Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla and signed by General Secretary (Org) Vinod Zinta, states that the appointments have been approved by the HPCC President.
The list includes appointments for all districts including Chamba, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu, Mandi, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla, and Kinnaur, covering more than 70 block units.
In the Shimla district, key appointments include:
Chopal – Dinesh Chauhan
Theog – Sanjay Sharma
Shimla (Rural) – Gopal Sharma
Jubbal-Kotkhai – Jitender Mehta
Rampur (SC) – Lal Chand Sharma
Rohroo (SC) – Shiv Pal Thakur
From Kinnaur district:
Kalpa (ST) – Vikram Negi
Nichar (ST) – Anil Negi
Pooh (ST) – Prem Singh
Earlier in the list, major districts like Kangra and Mandi also saw multiple appointments, indicating a broad organizational restructuring at the grassroots level.
The move is being seen as part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its base ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state.
