The “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” campaign has shown significant results—over 6.5 lakh people have benefited from health services in Himachal Pradesh so far.
Under the nationwide “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” campaign, running from September 17, 2025, to October 2, 2025, various preventive, curative, and diagnostic health services are being made available to residents across the state. The campaign aims to strengthen women’s health in Himachal Pradesh, realizing the vision of a healthy family, a healthy society, a healthy state, and a healthy nation.
Disclosing this information, a spokesperson for the Health Department stated that the “Healthy Women, Empowered Family” campaign is in full swing. Under this campaign, health service providers are working to make the state healthy and empowered by providing free healthcare services at the doorsteps of all women—whether girls, adolescents, young women, pregnant women, lactating mothers, mature women, or elderly women.

Hypertension screenings: 534,298
Pregnancy (ANC) tests: 24,571
Cancer screenings: 460,793
Women’s anemia screenings: 370,579
Child vaccinations: 40,737
TB Screenings: 517,800
“Niksha Mitra” registrations (TB support): 5520

The Health Department stated that women who are diagnosed with diseases during screening will be ensured necessary diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up facilities. The department has appealed to Panchayat representatives, voluntary organizations, and the public to encourage women in their areas to undergo health checkups to fully achieve the campaign’s objective.
The Himachal Pradesh government considers this campaign not just an event, but a long-term social and health transformation, ensuring that every woman becomes healthy and every family becomes empowered.
