The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla organized a special event on the occasion of “Hindi Diwas”.
The event was held online through WebEx Platform. The event was presided by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University Professor (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal.
In her speech, she focused on the significance that mother tongue has on the cognitive development of children and the ways in which language remains the chief motivating engine throughout one’s life. She also recited a self-composed poem. In the event, members of the faculty and Students presented their views in front of the audience in the form of speeches, poems and personal narratives in Hindi. The Registrar of the University Professor S. S. Jaswal addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Hindi as a great unifying force for a country as diverse as India, and concluded the session. The event was coordinated by Dr. Deepika Gautam, Assistant Professor of Management.
