Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Finance Department has directed all pensioners and family pensioners to submit their annual Life Certificate for the financial year 2026-27 through the Jeevan Pramaan digital platform between July 1 and September 30, 2026.
In a communication issued by the Directorate of Treasuries, Accounts and Lotteries on Tuesday, the department informed all District Treasury Officers and Treasury Officers that the digital mode will now be the primary method for life certificate verification.
The government has clarified that only medically unfit pensioners will be allowed to submit manual Life Certificates, provided these are duly certified by the concerned doctor.
Pensioners can complete the verification by visiting their nearest Treasury Office, bank branch, Common Service Centre (CSC), or Lok Mitra Kendra. They can also authenticate their Life Certificate independently through the Jeevan Pramaan mobile application.
The Finance Department has instructed treasury officials to ensure that pensioners and family pensioners are informed about the new digital verification process and assisted in completing the exercise within the stipulated deadline.
