Himachal Pradesh University Volleyball team qualifies for All India Inter University Competition. Himachal Pradesh University team has qualified for the All India Inter University for the second consecutive year by performing brilliantly in the North Zone Inter University Men’s Volleyball Competition being held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana. About 70 universities from across the country are participating in this competition. In which Himachal Pradesh first qualified for All India University Games by defeating the powerful team of LPU by 3 – 2. In other games, KUK, GNDU Amritsar, Punjab University and Chandigarh qualified. Team captain Karthik Sharma, Sunil, Amit and Sujal performed brilliantly on behalf of Himachal University. The players of the team have given the credit of this victory to the team’s international coaches Satish Sharma and Rajesh Sharma. Team coaches Satish Sharma and Rajesh Sharma said that the way the team performed, we have full hope that this time the Himachal Pradesh University team will perform better in the All India Inter University and return with a medal. On this victory of HPU, Director of Youth Services and Sports Dr. Hari Singh, Deputy Director Dr. SS Rathod, District Sports Officer Anurag Verma, Principal Dr. Bhupendra Thakur have congratulated the team and the team coach on this achievement. HPU’s volleyball team included Aankash Verma (captain), Sunil, Amit, Tavish Sharma, Sujal, Raman, Dushyant, Nikhil, Jatin, Rajat, Ishaan and Sameer.
