Indian Standard Bureau ( BIS ) Parwanoo branch the office organized a sensitization programme for Agriculture Department of Himachal Pradesh on 03 December 2024 at Hotel Holiday Home , Shimla. Around 150 participants including Government officials of Agriculture Department, farmers attended the programme. Shri C Paulrasu , IAS & Secretary , Agriculture & Horticulture , Himachal Pradesh was the Chief Guest of the programme. Joint Director, Dr. Suresh Sharma and Deputy Director , Dr. Sameer Sharma , Agriculture Department, Himachal Pradesh were also present in the programme.

He also explained that all farmers should follow Indian Standards for various activities involved in agricultural farming to ensure safety of farmers as well as environment. Deputy Director General , BIS , Smt. Sneha Latha explained the objective of the programme by highlighting the important Indian Standards related to agriculture. She encouraged all agricultural officials to actively participate in standard building to make Indian Standards more viable and useful.
