The Industries Department has launched an intensive campaign to control illegal mining activities in the state. Disclosing this here today, Director Industries Dr. Yunus stated that widespread public participation will be ensured to make the campaign a success. He urged citizens to share information and report complaints about illegal mining activities directly to the Industries Department, assuring timely and strict action in such cases.
He informed that complaints and information regarding illegal mining activities can be shared through WhatsApp Number 08988500249, Telephone Number 0177-2990575 and Email id: geologicalwing@gmail.com.
Dr. Yunus emphasized that complaints should ideally include geographic coordinates along with related photos, videos and other details. This would assist the department in taking swift action against offenders.
He added that by reporting illegal mining activities, citizens can contribute to the protection of the environment and the state’s valuable natural resources.
