Kangra:
At the Bharatiya Janata Party’s national headquarters in New Delhi, the nomination programme—held as part of the party’s election process for the National President—witnessed a strong and impactful presence from the Himachal Pradesh BJP leadership. The participation highlighted the party’s robust organisational structure and its commitment to internal democracy.
Prominent leaders who attended the programme included Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, MP Anurag Thakur, Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon, MP Suresh Kashyap, Indu Goswami, Dr. Sikandar Kumar, former minister Govind Thakur, MLAs Pawan Kumar Kajal, Bihari Lal Sharma, Rashim Dhar Sood, State General Secretaries Sanjeev Katwal and Payal Vaidya, senior spokesperson Trilok Kapoor, Mahila Morcha President Daisy Thakur, and former State President Suresh Chandel, along with several other senior party functionaries.
This “Organisational Festival” of the BJP once again emerged as a symbol of the party’s greatest strength—its grassroots-based organisational power. It reaffirmed that the BJP is not merely a political party, but an ideology-driven and democratic organisation, where leadership is selected through a transparent process, not behind closed doors or based on dynastic politics.
The election of the National President reflects discipline, collective participation, and ideological commitment—upholding the principle of “Organisation Above All.” The strong presence of Himachal’s leaders in Delhi conveyed a clear message that the state unit stands firmly with the national leadership, and this unity will further strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Developed India.”
