Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and discussed key issues related to the state.

During the meeting, Jairam Thakur warmly greeted the Prime Minister in traditional Himachali style by presenting a cap and a bouquet. The interaction reflected a cordial exchange between the two leaders.

Sources revealed that Thakur raised concerns regarding the current situation in Himachal Pradesh, including financial stress, rising burden on the public, and the need for stronger central support for development projects. He is also believed to have discussed infrastructure needs, disaster management support, and pending works affecting the state.
As Leader of Opposition, Jairam Thakur is said to have apprised the Prime Minister about governance issues and challenges faced by people under the present state government.
