The Himachal High Court is organizing a Regional Conference on the subject of Judicial Development through Law and Technology on 29th and 30th April. About 160 judges will participate in this conference to be held at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla in coordination with the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. The conference is to be attended by invitees of Supreme Court Judges, High Court Judges and Judicial Officers of the High Courts of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. In the two-day conference, around 160 judges are expected to participate. The conference is being hosted with an aim to provide a platform for exchange of knowledge, experiences and dissemination of best practices among the participating judges and judicial officers under the jurisdiction of the concerned High Court.
The conference is designed to promote dialogue among judges on topics including contemporary trends in constitutional law, precedential value of High Court judgments, developments in criminal law, overview of the e-courts project and emerging and futuristic technologies for effective judicial administration. This conference is being held. It will consist of five sessions, three of which will be held on April 29 and two on April 30. These sessions will be organized for judges from different courts of a region to share experiences, develop new ideas on key issues.
