The Himachal Pradesh government has transferred and posted Kartikeya Sharma, HPAS (2023), as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Shimla (Rural), with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel on October 21, 2026, Sharma, who was serving as Assistant Commissioner (Revenue)-cum-Tehsildar, Junga, in Shimla district, will take over the new assignment in the public interest.
He will replace Gian Sagar Negi, HPAS (2011), who was serving as Additional District Magistrate (Protocol), Shimla, and holding the additional charge of SDM Shimla (Rural).
The transfer and posting order was issued by the Department of Personnel on behalf of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, under the directions of Chief Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pant.
