The incident took place in Dhola village of Kotkhai tehsil in Shimla district.9 houses and a car were destroyed in the fire. The loss due to fire is estimated to be around Rs 20 lac. .The fire department has brought the fire under control.
According to reports, the incident took place around 12’o clock. The fire broke out at the house of one Prem Chand in Dhola village of Kotkhai tehsil. According to the information received, no member of the house was in the house at the time of the incident, all the members of the house were gone, the house was made of wood, due to which the fire spread in the whole house and 9 rooms of the house were burnt to ashes. The villagers informed the fire department about the incident.Subsequently, a fire brigade team rushed to the spot. The fire was contained by police with the help of locals.
Lal Singh, a firefighter, said the incident took place in Kotkhai’s Dhola village.A car and 9 two-wheelers were gutted in the fire. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 20 lac. He said the cause of the fire was not yet known. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
