Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap today held an important meeting via video conferencing with all the district’s revenue officers regarding the reorganization of tehsils, sub-tehsils, and Patwar and Kanungo circles.
The meeting discussed in detail the reorganization of various administrative units, with special emphasis on factors such as geographical location, population ratio, and public convenience. The Deputy Commissioner told the officers that the reorganization process will not only make the revenue system more transparent and robust, but will also ensure timely services to the public within their own area. He directed all concerned officers to prioritize regional needs and public convenience and prepare practical suggestions for recommendation to the state government.
He directed all revenue officers to submit detailed proposals regarding the reorganization in their respective areas within a week so that all district-wide proposals can be submitted to the government simultaneously. The Deputy Commissioner stated that this process will enhance administrative efficiency and provide better services to citizens. He also took detailed reports from all the Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars in this regard.
