Shimla SP Sanjeev Gandhi has filed a petition in the court demanding action against BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma for running the proceedings inside the High Court on social media. At the same time, Sudhir Sharma retaliated and sent a criminal defamation notice to SP Sanjeev Gandhi. Sudhir Sharma has also warned of bringing a privilege motion against the SP.
Sudhir Sharma said, “SP Shimla is saying that videos were played inside the High Court. Whereas Himachal High Court is making its proceedings live. So that people can also see the proceedings inside the court.
Sudhir Sharma himself did not go inside the court and make the video. The SP alleged that Sudhir Sharma is the main accused in the horse-trading case of MLAs. If Sudhir Sharma is the main accused then why action was not taken against him and why was he not called for investigation”.
BJP MLA Sudhir Sharma said that SP Shimla is himself getting stuck in the quagmire of investigation, so he is accusing others. He is accusing the Chief Secretary and DGP of the state. Not only this, he is also raising questions on the Deputy Commissioner regarding the land in Ramakrishna Ashram. He has also termed the report of ACS Omkar Sharma as wrong. Not every Mahatma is a Gandhi. CBI should also investigate where Sanjeev Gandhi was SP.
He said that the kind of comments the SP is making, a privilege motion is made against him. Under the Service Conduct Rule, the SP is raising questions on his own top officials, action can be taken under that too. The SP is saying that the SIT will go to the High Court again in the Vimal Negi case. Whereas the SIT was formed by the state government, so with what right will they file in the High Court. If the High Court has to be gone to, then the government can go to the High Court.
Sudhir Sharma has raised the demand of providing security to ASI Pankaj. He has expressed apprehension that Pankaj may also meet the same fate as Vimal Negi. He stressed on protecting this entire matter from whitewashing.
