National Girl Child Week is being celebrated in Solan district till January 24, 2024 with the aim of making girls aware of their rights and providing equal opportunities for development in the society. This information was given by District Program Officer Solan Vinod Kumar Gautam.
Vinod Kumar Gautam said that like every year, National Girl Child Day is being celebrated this year with the aim of stopping gender-based sex selection, ensuring the safety of girls and providing them better education. He said that for public participation in this event, various activities are being organized in district Solan to honor the girls.
District Program Officer said that today signature and oath campaign was organized in all the Anganwadi centers of the district. These activities aim to emphasize the valuing of the girl child. He said that till January 24, 2024, various activities will be organized at the district and block level with the aim of making people aware about the protection of girls.
