Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar felicitated the winners of National Level Painting Competition during National Energy Conservation Awards 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
On this occasion, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Sh. Shripad Yesso Naik, Power Secretary, MoP, GoI Sh. Pankaj Agarwal and senior officials were also present.
In an exceptional achievement, Agaan Lalit Kumar and Rudransh Jindal, both from St. Edward’s School, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh emerged as Third Prize winners in Group A and Group B, respectively, of the National Painting Competition.
Vice President of India Sh. Jagdeep Dhankhar presented Third Prize of Rs. 30,000/- to Agaan Lalit Kumar (Class 7th) in Group A category and Third Prize of Rs. 30,000/- to Rudransh Jindal (Class 10th) Group B category. In addition to the cash prize, both the students have been given a laptop each.
Adding to the accolades, SJVN has been bestowed with ‘State Wise Nodal Officer Appreciation Certificate’. The award was presented by Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Sh. Shripad Yesso Naik to Sh. Anurag Bhardwaj, DGM (HR) and Nodal Officer of SJVN, for unwavering commitment towards success of the National Campaign on Energy Conservation across Himachal Pradesh.
Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, congratulated the winners for their creativity which reflected the spirit of sustainable living and environmental responsibility, bringing glory to Himachal Pradesh. He expressed pride in SJVN’s role in promoting energy conservation through the creative expression of youth. Since 2005, SJVN has successfully partnered with the Ministry of Power, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, State Government, and State Education Department as the Nodal Agency for Himachal Pradesh. This year, an impressive 2,10,936 students from 4,794 schools across all 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh participated in the School Level Painting Competition, the first phase of this nationwide campaign.
Under the National Campaign on Energy Conservation 2024 of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, the National Level Painting Competition was organised for selected winners in Category-A and Category-B from all states of the country.
