Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, celebrated National Science Day 2026 with great enthusiasm under the theme “Women in Science: Catalyzing Viksit Bharat,” as proposed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The event was jointly organized by the Departments of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and Physics & Materials Science under the constant encouragement and visionary leadership of the Honourable CEO, Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur, whose guidance continues to strengthen JUIT’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. R.K. Sharma, in the presence of senior university officials. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Krishna Mohan Poluri from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee on “The Invisible Revolution: Futuristic Approaches of Nano/Bio-Technology,” highlighting the transformative potential of emerging technologies in national development.
The celebration featured poster and model presentation competitions, a declamation contest, departmental research showcases, and guided laboratory visits. More than 210 students and teachers participated enthusiastically, reflecting strong academic engagement and scientific curiosity.
Winners across categories were honored with certificates and prizes. The event received financial support from JUIT and technical assistance from the Centre for Healthcare Technologies and Informatics (CEHTI).
The celebration paid tribute to C. V. Raman and reaffirmed JUIT’s commitment to advancing scientific excellence and empowering women in science in alignment with the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
