District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma said that the Election Commission of India has started the National Voter Helpline number in Solan district for the purpose of resolving all the questions and complaints of the citizens.
Manmohan Sharma stated that the 1950 National Voter Helpline has been launched for Solan District. He stated that this toll-free number, 1800-11-1950, will operate daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Calls will be taken by trained officials who will assist citizens and other stakeholders with election services and questions.
In line with the Election Commission of India’s directive, a District Contact Center will be established in the district in the future. This center will ensure timely and local response. This center will operate during office hours on all working days throughout the year and will provide assistance in regional languages.
He said that all complaints and queries are registered and tracked through the National Grievances Service Portal (NGSP 2.0).
He stated that the Election Commission of India has also launched the “Book-a-Call BLO” feature, which allows citizens to directly contact their respective booth-level officers through the ECINET platform. Citizens can also connect with election officials using the ECINET app. He stated that, as directed by the Election Commission of India, its progress will be regularly monitored, and all user requests will be resolved within 48 hours.
Manmohan Sharma said that citizens can send email to complaints@eci.gov.in for redressal of election-related complaints.
He urged all voters of the district to use the facilities of ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ and Voter Helpline number 1950 for election-related information, feedback, suggestions and complaints so that the complaints can be resolved quickly and transparently.
