The Supreme Court today said that the NEET results 2024 of 1,563 candidates who were awarded grace marks will stand cancelled and asked the NTA to withdraw results. The NEET re-exam 2024 for the affected candidates will be held on June 23 and the results will be declared by June 30, the NTA informed the top court.
Students who opt out of the re-examination will have their results based on the original exam held on May 5. The counselling process is set to begin on July 6.
Previously, the Education Ministry established a four-member panel to review the grace marks awarded to over 1,500 candidates in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam.
This decision is being taken following an uproar over many NEET UG 2024 candidates performing well in the entrance test
As per available information, the Supreme Court further said that everyone cannot apply for the retest. Only those candidates whose time was reduced can apply for this retest. CLAT judgment is not being applied here.
