New school lecturers to teach all subjects from 6th to 12th class

The Directorate of Education, Himachal Pradesh has now directed the School-New lecturers working in all the government schools of the state to teach classes from 6th to 12th. The order issued by the Directorate of Education clearly states that the responsibility of the Lecturer (School-New) will not be limited only to 11th and 12th, but they will teach all classes from 6th to 12th.
The Directorate had issued guidelines in this regard on 23 July 2025 itself. But it was found that at some places the lecturers are not teaching all the classes as per the prescribed rules. In such a situation, the Directorate of Education has now directed all the Deputy Directors (Secondary) and School Principals to submit its compliance report within two days.
It is also clearly stated in the order that if any Lecturer (School-New) is found to be ignoring these rules, then his name should be immediately sent to the Directorate, so that disciplinary action can be initiated against him. In the order issued by the Additional Director of the Directorate of Education, it has been said that as per the R&P rules, it is the responsibility of the lecturers to teach from class 6th to 12th and any kind of laxity in this will not be tolerated.
