Though, one year tenure of Sukhu government has been completed but nothing much done to celebrate it .
The Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has formed his government on December 11,2022 but from the formation till now no development has taken place.
Whether we talk about the development, employment or implementing the policies, guarantees promised in their manifesto, nothing has been implemented. The undoubtedly the government have fulfilled its main guarantee of restoration of OPS but everyone is not being considered for the same as corporation and board employees are still left in crunch.
Not only this, the Sukhu government, at the formation of their government, in the first cabinet meeting announced one lakh government jobs promise to the youth which have failed to materialised till The result of code 817 is yet to be announced, despite the fact that the government said once the judgment comes from the supreme court, the result will be announced in one week. But this promise also dies with the government’s other promises.
Rs 1600 per month for women aged above 60 years, purchase of cow and buffalo milk, purchase of cow dung and many others still waiting to be completed. Even during the monsoon session of the Assembly, the BJP had cornered the government regarding the guarantee of Rs 1500 to women. The government started the process in the Lahaul valley, but only 800 women got benefited from this. On asking the Congress workers and leaders, when the other district women will get the benefits,they remain silent and start giving excuses that it will implement in a phased manner. CM Sukhwinder Singh himself also said that these guarantees are for five years, but nothing was said during the announcements or before the tenure started.
Moreover, focusing on the youth, the Congress announced the setting up of a Youth Commission to look into all issues of education and employment generation, but the commission was not created nor did any discussion take place.
Another big guarantee of Congress was the purchase of milk from cattle farmers in rural areas. Congress had promised that cow milk would be purchased at Rs 80 per kg and buffalo milk at Rs 100 per kg. Ten liters of cow and buffalo milk will be purchased daily from every cattle farmer. In this way, cow’s milk was to be bought for Rs 24 thousand in a month and buffalo’s milk was to be bought for Rs 30 thousand in a month. Many cattle farmers trusted this guarantee and bought cows and buffaloes, but now they are worried.
Another guarantee of the Congress government was in the form of from the purchase of cow dung at Rs 2 per kg. This is also incomplete. Everything is digitalized, though the state also gets two awards for this, the Sukhu government has no vision for this.
The government has been crying about a natural disaster, but the Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has also faced situation like covid that have made not only the state but the entire world stabbed still physically as well as economically yet he came out as a champion without putting the burden on public at large.
Former government do have faced various situations during their tenure yet no one made a huge deal out of it publicly like in the case of CM Sukhvinder singh sukhu. Inspite of various contribution done all around the nation, the family have not got any compensation for their loss.
Not only this, the sukhu government ministers, day by day, giving the statement that the central government has not releases the funds. Earlier, during the tenure of Virbhadra Singh or Prem Kumar Dhumal, the government in central was different and everyone face this problem, but no one ever cried like that.
One year celebration scheduled for December 11 seems nothing more than celebration 365 days of deception, fake promises and betrayal especially of the government employees who voted for him with hope of OPS, youth who elected him for employment and other people of himachal who voted for development of the state.
Moreover, the BJP is also questioning the Sukhwinder government regarding these guarantees. Besides, the opposition has also made a strategy to corner the government. Not only will the opposition parties corner the BJP government in the winter session, but will also create public opinion during the Lok Sabha elections regarding these incomplete guarantees of the Congress.
