At the Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post here today, Purnam Kumar Shaw, a jawan of the Border Security Force (BSF) who had wandered into Pakistani territory and been taken into custody by Pakistan Rangers, was sent over to India.
Since he unintentionally entered Pakistani territory on April 23, he has been under the custody of Pakistani rangers.
According to a BSF official, “BSF Jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw was handed over to India today at 10.30 am through the Attari-Wagah Joint Check Post here.” The transfer was carried out amicably and in compliance with established procedures.
