R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director of THDC India Ltd, informed that during the 7th Tranche of Rozgar Mela on July 22, 2023, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi virtually issued appointment letters to 111 newly recruited individuals of THDCIL as part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela – Mission Recruitment Drive.
Sh. R.K Vishnoi said that these appointments encompassed various roles, including Executive Trainees in the field of Human Resource and Public Relations, Engineer Trainees in diverse technical disciplines, and skilled workmen. The initiative aims to empower talented youngsters nationwide by providing them with promising job opportunities.
Speaking on this momentous occasion, Sh. R.K. Vishnoi, Chairman, and Managing Director of THDC India Ltd expressed his delight over the successful recruitment drive. He highlighted that during the initial months of the fiscal year, from January 2023 to June 2023, the company had issued 14 offers of appointment on a Regular Basis and an additional 90 offers on a Fixed Term appointment basis. The company has successfully recruited 108 Executives, Engineers, and Workmen on Regular and Fixed Term basis in the previous year, 2022. Furthermore, THDC India Ltd has also extended offer letters to over 375 candidates for Apprenticeship Training during this fiscal year, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing and developing young talent in the power sector.
He added that THDC India Limited is ambitiously posturing itself to harness Hydro, Thermal and Renewable Energy sources besides Coal harvesting in its endeavour to contribute in the Socio-Economic development of the country. Accordingly, he further added that THDCIL has been proactively working towards its vision of fostering employment opportunities also.
Sh. Vishnoi stated that looking ahead, THDCIL has charted an ambitious road map to further strengthen its workforce by recruiting over 325 individuals before the end of the year, 31st December 2023.The Rozgar Mela – Mission Recruitment Drive has emerged as a thriving platform for facilitating job placements and empowering the nation’s youth. THDC India Ltd is proud to play a pivotal role in this initiative, furthering the nation’s progress and development, he added.
THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan & 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
