Public Works Minister, Vikramaditya Singh today presided over the review meeting of the developmental works being carried out in the state under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and NABARD with the officers of the Public Works department.
He directed them to complete all the works of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-I and II by the end of June 2024. He said that the formalities of physical and financial claims of the works of NABARD tranche XXIV and XXV should be completed by the end of this month so that these works can be started soon.
Vikramaditya Singh asked the officers to issue approval letters to start the works of NABARD tranche XXIX and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana Part-III by the end of this week.
He said that all the developmental projects being implemented in the state should be inspected regularly at every level and its report should be submitted to the Engineer-in-Chief office. He directed the officers to complete all the construction works within the stipulated time period and take strict action against the contractors responsible for delaying the construction works.
He said that the process of obtaining approvals related to Forest Right Act (FRA) and Forest Conservation Act (FCA) should be expedited at the Executive Engineer level and quality should be taken care of in the construction works.
Engineer-in-Chief Public Works, N.P. Singh, Joint Secretary Public Works, Surjeet Singh Rathore and other senior officers of the department were present in the meeting.
