An awareness session on emerging tech careers was organised at Jaypee University of Information Technology, focusing on opportunities in SAP’s cloud ecosystem. Titled “Launch Your Tech Career with SAP BTP,” the session was led by industry expert Vikash Kumar, an alumnus of the institute.
Kumar, currently associated with Bluestonex, outlined how SAP systems underpin critical business functions including finance, supply chain and human resources. He noted that a large share of global commerce depends on SAP platforms, making them central to modern enterprise operations.
The session highlighted the shift from traditional on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based solutions like SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), which offer improved scalability and efficiency. The growing integration of artificial intelligence in business processes—particularly in automation and data-driven decision-making—was also discussed.
Pointing to industry demand, Kumar emphasised a widening skill gap in SAP BTP expertise, driven by rapid digital transformation and limited trained professionals. Students were introduced to multiple career pathways within the SAP ecosystem and encouraged to upskill through relevant learning platforms.
The session concluded on an optimistic note, equipping students with insights into future-ready technology careers and reinforcing the importance of adapting to evolving industry needs.
