A case of molestation of a girl has come to light on Lower Bazaar Road near the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Shimla city. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon. It is alleged that the person said objectionable words to the girl. Enraged by this, the mother and daughter beat the man severely. During this time a crowd of people gathered at the spot and the matter remained heated for a long time.
The girl and her mother have not lodged any complaint with the police in this regard. The incident is said to have happened around 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon when the girl and her mother were sitting on the road leading to Lower Bazaar near the Deputy Commissioner’s office. It is being told that during this time, a person passing by started scolding the girl. Angered by this, the girl and her mother caught the man there and beat him severely.
Angered by the molestation, the mother and daughter beat the young man with kicks and punches for about five minutes. After such an incident came to light in the market, there was heated discussion throughout the day. When Sadar Police was asked about this, it was revealed that they had not received any complaint in this regard. According to the police, if any complaint is received in this regard, appropriate legal action will be taken.
