Shoolini University’s “Idea That Matters” Team hosted India’s largest quiz for school teachers in which around 5000 teachers participated.
Mr Dhirender Sharma, a teacher from Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, Delhi, won the competition while Mr Patanjali Nandan Chaturvedi from Bal Bharti Public School, Rohini and Mr Neeraj Thakur from Government Senior Secondary School, Dhalli, Shimla, grabbed the second and third positions, respectively. The winners received an iPad and the runners-ups received Samsung smart phones while the other finalists received Amazon gift cards worth Rs 5000 each.
After initial rounds, 15 teachers from top schools like Bal Bharati’s, Mayo College Ajmer made it to the semi-finals and six to the grand finale.
On the grand finale, Prof. PK Khosla Chancellor Shoolini University, Pro Chancellor Mr. Vishal Anand, Vice-chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla and President Innovation and Marketing Mr. Ashish Khosla were the chief guests.
The participants were divided into four groups. In the semifinal, there were four rounds, including Hint Mint, Bollywood Bouncer, Visual Round, Rapid Fire, and Hunt the Option. To add to the excitement, there was also an audience question.
Ms. Neetu Kapoor from Police DAV School, Jalandhar, Ms. Rashmi Upadhyay from Bal Bharati, Annupur, Ms. Manisha Sinha from Allen House Public School, Panki Kanpur, Mr. Neeraj Thakur from GSSS, Dhalli Shimla, Gagandeep Sharma from Ahlcon International School, and others participated in the semifinals (East Delhi).
The quiz masters were Mr. Mihir Sharma, Ms. Nancy Chandel, and Ms. Palak Sharma. The semifinal round was quite exciting and challenging. Only six teachers, Patanjali Nandan Chaturvedi from Bal Bharti Public School, Rohini, Mr.Neeraj Thakur from Government Sen Sec School, Ms. Rekha Devi from Vivekanand Public Sen Sec School, Ms. Rashmi Uppadhyay from Bal Bharti Public School, Dhirender Sharma from Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura, and Mohit Kumar from Mayo College, Ajmer made it to the finals.
The quiz quest was concluded with the awarding of certificates, gifts, and a thank you by the chief guest, Professor Atul Khosla, and guest of honour, Pro Vice Chancellor Mr. Vishal Anand.
