The Shoolini University’s School of Law brought laurels to the University by winning the All India Lawyer Union Cup 2026, a prestigious cricket tournament organised by the All India Lawyers Union in collaboration with the District Bar Association Solan. The tournament was held at Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, where teams competed with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
The Shoolini team delivered an outstanding performance, winning five consecutive matches to lift the trophy. The victory reflects strong teamwork, discipline and determination, bringing pride and recognition to the institution.
Among the standout performers, Devesh Sharma was declared Man of the Tournament, while Pankaj received the Best Bowler award. Vikrant Mehta played a crucial innings of 77 runs in the semi-final, and Devank was named Man of the Match in the final. The team’s success was further strengthened by the contributions of Vivek Chandel, Vivek, Hirday, Prakhar, Madhav, Purav, Akhil and other members who played with dedication and team spirit. Mr Vineet Kumar, Assistant Professor, School of Law, was also a key member of the team and contributed both on and off the field.
On the occasion, Shoolini University Chancellor Prof. P. K. Khosla addressed the players during the felicitation ceremony. He said, “My blessings to all the winners. Do your best in every field and learn from your mistakes. Always remain a learner and work towards achieving your dreams.”
Assistant Professor, Faculty of Legal Sciences, Mr Vineet Kumar was also awarded a memento for his continuous support to the students. The institution also acknowledged the support of Dr Renu Pal Sood for her encouragement, along with all faculty members of the School of Law whose guidance played an important role in this achievement.
On the occasion, the vote of thanks was delivered by Associate Dean Students’ Welfare, Prof. Neeraj Gandhotra, who said that the victory stands as a testament to the Shoolini School of Law’s commitment to excellence, leadership, discipline and holistic development of students.
