     The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur, will allot seats for BTech and BPharmacy (Direct Entry) through online counselling on July 14 under the first round of admissions based on HPCET and JEE merit.

    Candidates allotted seats according to their merit and preferred choices must report to their respective institutes by July 16 to complete the admission process.

    As per the counselling schedule, offline counselling for MBA Tourism, MSc Physics, MSc Environmental Science, and MA/MSc Yoga will also be held on July 14 at the HPTU campus.

    The first-round counselling for Pharm D will take place at the College of Pharmacy, Kathog, Jwalamukhi, Kangra district, while counselling for BSc HMCT, BHMC, BCA, and BBA will be conducted at the respective institutes offering these programmes.

    HPTU Dean (Academic) Dr Rajesh Kumar Sharma said the university is conducting online counselling for BTech and several other programmes for the first time. Seats across all categories will be allotted based on JEE and HPCET merit, and candidates can check the detailed notification regarding counselling, seat allotment and institute reporting on the university’s official website.

    Hamirpur: Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur, has commenced the counselling process for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the new academic session. Eligible candidates can submit their online counselling applications till June 30.

    According to HPTU Registrar Anupam Kumar Thakur, online counselling applications have been invited for admission to courses offered at the university campus as well as affiliated government and private institutions.

    The counselling process covers programmes including B.Tech (Direct and Lateral Entry), B.Pharmacy (Direct and Lateral Entry), B.Arch, MBA, MBA Tourism, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, MSc Physics, Environmental Science, MA/MSc Yoga, BSc HMCT/BHMCT, and Pharma D.

    Candidates seeking admission to these courses must complete the online counselling registration process. Detailed eligibility criteria and admission guidelines for all programmes are available in the information brochure uploaded on the university’s official website.

    The university has clarified that candidates who appeared in the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) are also required to register online for counselling. Similarly, candidates seeking direct admission to B.Tech programmes through JEE Main scores must submit the counselling application form.

    HPTU officials stated that 50 per cent of B.Tech direct-entry seats are filled through HPCET merit, while the remaining 50 per cent are allotted on the basis of JEE Main merit.

    The detailed counselling schedule for various courses is expected to be released soon after the application deadline.

    Semester exams and re-appear exams of all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) subjects including B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharmacy started from Thursday in Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur and related educational institutions. Registrar and Controller of Examinations of Technical University Anupam Kumar Thakur said that 39 examination centres have been set up for regular semester and re-appear exams. 16373 regular semester and 12015 re-appear candidates will participate in the above exams. Apart from this, the number of subjects for which candidates have been given special opportunity is 22. The exams will be held till the first week of July.
