Five people were killed and another sustained critical injuries in a tragic road accident near Daroti village in the Tikker-Nawar area of Shimla district, plunging the region into grief.
The deceased have been identified as Kushal, son of Pramod, and his mother Kalpana Devi, wife of Pramod, both residents of Daroti village. The other three victims were identified as Nirmala, wife of Pawan; Meena, wife of Prem; and Roshni, daughter of Prem, all Nepali nationals.
One Nepali labourer was seriously injured in the accident. He was initially rushed to a hospital and later referred to Shimla for advanced medical treatment in view of his critical condition.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves across the region. The deaths of five people, including a mother and her son, have left their families devastated, while grief and mourning have engulfed Daroti village and surrounding areas.
Confirming the incident, Tikker Tehsildar Priyanjali and Naib Tehsildar Mehr Singh Fishta said that immediate relief of ₹15,000 each had been provided to the families of the deceased as financial assistance.
The tragic accident has left the entire area mourning the loss of five precious lives.
