Religious activities began early in the morning as priests performed the ceremonial bathing of the deities during Brahma Muhurat. This was followed by special prayers, chanting of mantras, and traditional rituals to complete the process of Swarg Pravas (heavenly retreat). Devotees paid their final respects, after which the doors of the temples were closed. The entire region witnessed a spiritually charged atmosphere as people bid farewell to the deities with deep devotion.
Tradition Followed for Generations
The main deities leaving for Swarg Pravas include Devta Saheb Chheja Kaleshwar, Chhatarkhand Panchveer Brandli, Dutt Maharaj, Devta Saheb Dansa Damukh, Gaso Kajal, and Devta Saheb Racholi Jakh, among others. According to local beliefs, this tradition has been followed for generations and holds strong religious, cultural, and social significance in the region. The period is considered a time of discipline, self-control, and faith for the devotees.
