THDC India Limited (THDCIL), in collaboration with the Char Dham Yatra Administration, organized a cleanliness drive (Swacchta Pakhwada) at the Yatra Registration Camp cum Transit Camp in Rishikesh on 25th September 2024. This initiative is part of the ongoing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada 2024,’ a nationwide campaign being organized from 17th September to 02nd October 2024, under the theme “Swabhav Swachhta-Sanskar Swachhta.”
Sh. R.K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited, while emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, said that the Swachhata Hi Seva-2024 campaign is being organized across the country from 17 September to 02 October to promote the spirit of cleanliness and commitment towards hygiene. The main objective of this cleanliness program is to make people aware about cleanliness in society.
On the occasion of today’s program, the pilgrims who came for registration at the travel registration camp were made aware about cleanliness and hygiene, the pilgrims were appealed to collect the garbage at the designated place after using any kind of material during the journey.
The cleanliness program was inaugurated by Sh. Amardeep, GM (S&E), Sh. PK Nathani, OSD and Sh. MC Ramola, OSD. During the cleanliness program, garbage was collected and dumped at the designated place. About 70 people including THDC and Chardham Yatra administration participated in the program.
Sh. Arvind Srivastava, Chardham Yatra In-Charge, along with senior THDCIL officials Sh. Dharmaprakash, Smt. Anamika Budakoti, and Sh. Pradeep Ghildiyal, were also present on the occasion.
