Three vehicles including a school van collided near DAV School near New Bus Stand on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway 5 on Monday . There was no loss of life reported in this accident.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when a vehicle was already stopped on the side of the road to drop the school children. During this, the driver of the second vehicle coming from behind applied brakes as a precaution and stopped the vehicle at some distance, but the school van coming at high speed from behind this vehicle hit it. After this, another vehicle coming from behind the van hit the van hard
Though, no child or person was injured in this accident, but the vehicles got damages. The police immediately reached the spot and have started the investigation .
The local administration has appealed to the school van drivers to strictly follow the traffic rules and give priority to the safety of the children.
