On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, a tragic road accident claimed the lives of three young men in the Thunag area of Mandi district.
The accident occurred around 4:00 a.m. near Bunalidhar on the MDR-91 Lambathach–Kalhani road. The ill-fated jeep (registration number HP 65 5148) reportedly met with the accident under unclear circumstances. It is not yet known where the youths were headed at such an early hour.
Two of the victims died on the spot, while the third succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. The deceased have been identified as 19-year-old Ritik Thakur, 17-year-old Sunil, and 18-year-old Ishan.
Another youth, 18-year-old Kushal, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment. All the youths were residents of Kelodhar and nearby villages in the Seraj region.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
