A dispute broke out between tourists and local shopkeepers on Sunday over changing snow boots in the tourist destination Kufri. The dispute suddenly turned into a scuffle and the tourists attacked three people with knives.
As soon as the local people got information about the matter, the police reached the spot and the three seriously injured people were immediately taken to IGMC Shimla for treatment. Meanwhile, the police took action and took all four accused into custody. The police are interrogating the accused by taking them into custody.
Giving information on this case, SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said. “All four tourists had come from Punjab to visit Kufri in Shimla. In Kufri tourists went to a shop to buy snow boots for walking in the snow. Snow boots are given on rent to tourists. While buying snow boots, the tourists had an argument with the shopkeeper over some issue which later turned into a fight and the tourists took out a knife and attacked him.” Dhali Police is investigating the matter local shopkeepers Jagdish Sharma, Shekhar Sharma and Nikhil Singta were seriously injured in this attack.
