Meeting held with all tourism stakeholders of Shimla district
A meeting of all tourism stakeholders in Shimla district was organized by the office of District Tourism Development Officer, which was chaired by Director Tourism Department Vivek Bhatia.
Vivek Bhatia stated that the main objective of the meeting was to discuss the government’s tourism initiatives. He welcomed the initiative to allow all stakeholders to offer their suggestions and emphasized the need to work closely with all district tourism development officers.
All stakeholders offered their suggestions on this occasion. Stakeholder Baldev Thakur stated that some tourism-related activities are taking place in the forest area of Kufri, which need to be regulated. Similarly, stakeholder Sanjay Thakur stated that the department should intervene regarding the blogger’s negative publicity.
In the meeting, stakeholders demanded that jackets be provided to the photographers and guides so that they could be identified.

Vivek Bhatia stated that everyone must work together to make the visit to Shimla district smooth and comfortable for tourists. He also urged all stakeholders to provide the best facilities and all possible assistance to tourists during the snowfall.
On this occasion, District Tourism Development Officer Jagdish Sharma said that efforts are being made to initiate online integration of all tourism stakeholders, in which private online portal makers will participate.
The meeting was attended by representatives of stakeholders Sanjay Thakur, Baldev Thakur, Tanuja Dantha, Hem Singh Thakur and representatives of Hotel Association, Homestay Association, Miss Adventure Sports Association, Paragliding and River Rafting Operators and Photographer and Guide Association.
