Shimla: Senior BJP spokesperson Trilok Kapoor has strongly criticised a controversial social media post by Congress leader and minister Vikramaditya Singh, calling it unfortunate and inappropriate for someone holding a constitutional position.
Kapoor said it is easy to politicise tragic incidents but much more difficult to enhance the country’s prestige. He stated that responsible leaders should show restraint and maturity during sensitive situations rather than making political remarks.
He added that when the nation faces difficult circumstances, people across the country should stand united, but some Congress leaders resort to political comments and publicity, which he described as below the dignity of a ministerial post.
The BJP leader further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s global reputation and leadership have strengthened significantly. According to him, the country today is viewed worldwide as having strong and decisive leadership.
Kapoor advised Congress leaders to understand their responsibilities before making sarcastic remarks, adding that the public expects responsible and serious conduct from those holding constitutional positions.
