Two Muslim youth from Kashmir have been accused of allegedly cooking and eating beef at a private hotel near the Shimla The incident took place on October 2. In this context, CCTV footage has also surfaced, in which a person is seen going towards the kitchen with an envelope.
Hindu organizations are into the anger after the incident has come to light. It is being said that the Hindu youth working in the hotel got to know about the incident, after which a scuffle also took place.
It is alleged that to suppress the case, the hotel operator took the accused to the Gaushala and made them apologize to the Gau Mata, and after that, and then drove them away from Shimla overnight. Meanwhile, the Sadar police station reached the hotel and investigated the facts, registered a complaint, and started an investigation.
The police also seized utensils and refrigerator trays from the spot in which the meat was kept and cooked. SHO Sadar Shimla, Dharam Sain Negi said that some people have complained in the police station that two Muslim community members from Kashmir, Rais Khan and Rizwan, were cooking and eating beef in the hotel. However, no beef has been recovered from the spot.
The complainant said that some pickle-like thick meat was brought, but it is not clear whether it was cow meat or meat of some other species. Police are currently investigating the matter so that no one can spoil the atmosphere by spreading rumors in the city.
Former Hindu Jagran Manch president Kamal Gautam said that he congratulated those Hindu youths who showed strength towards their religion. He also said that there is no place for such acts in Himachal and the police should investigate the matter seriously and arrest the accused.
It is worth mentioning that the accused Rais Khan was running this private hotel on lease in partnership with Vijay for the last four years, but after the allegations of eating beef, Raees Khan and Rizwan have disappeared from Shimla. Investigation of this case is going on.
