Nearly 60 hotels have participated in a meeting held by Hotelier Association of Kasauli Sanawar Dharampur in the name of The Kasauli Sanawar Hotelier Association held at Hotel Ramada.
In the meeting, the association simultaneously held election and elected Ved Garg M.D Shivalik Hotel & Resorts Kasauli as president and his team Gaurav Bhardwaj senior Vice president M.d Rudra Resort, Mahender Jain M.D Hyatt Kasauli and Romi Gill M.D. Birds View Resort as Vice President, Yashpal M.D Sanwar Heights as general secretary, Ajay Garg M.D Vilasita Resort and Mahesh Balyan M.D Ramada Hotel Muninder Thakur M.D Kasauli Continental and Mr. Narender Sharma M.D Hotel Valley View and Rajesh Chaudhry M.D BRK Hospitality Pvt Ltd as joint secretary, Alok Mittal M.D Oren Resort and Sunita M.D Hotel Deepshikha as Treasurer as well as Saklani, Subhash Chauhan, Mr. Sanjay Bakshi, Mr. Raj Kumar Garg, Ghanshyam Garg, Sidhu, Brar, Ashish Sharma, Vineet Sharma, Vijay have been elected as executive members.
Ved said the meeting is for the betterment of tourism in Kasauli area and how to promote tourism, get more taxes and a longer stay in Kasauli area, known as a hot spot in tourist places of India.
To promote himachal as a tourism state, the association will represent these issues to CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, he added.
