Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh today inspected the restoration work of flood-affected roads in Ghanvi, Rampur. He said that significant damage has been occurring here for the past two years. He said that the restoration work is proceeding smoothly, as it involves the HPSEB’s Ghanvi power project. Keeping this in mind, the Public Works Department will immediately repair the bridge that was washed away. It will be installed. He added that the HPSEB department will be involved in this effort, and it will be inaugurated within a few days. Every effort will be made to ensure the bridge has the appropriate height.
He stated that efforts will be made to lower the water level in the Jaguni area. Furthermore, repairing any damage that has occurred in this area is our priority in the future.
He explained that to strengthen the roads here, the area’s Kyun Kot Road, Lunchha Dharla Road, and the village Molgi Connectivity Road, totaling approximately 20 kilometers, have been included in the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. All formalities have been completed, and official approval will be received from the central government within the next 15-20 days, and the tender process will be initiated.
He said he understands that people in this area have suffered greatly and that he stands with them in every way . Every effort will be made to repair any damage that has occurred. Alternative routes will also be constructed in the future to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience where the road is sinking and the area remains connected .

Vikramaditya Singh said that in this difficult time, the state government, local MLAs and everyone are standing with the affected people so that development works can be taken forward.
Chairman of the Seventh Finance Commission of Himachal Pradesh State and MLA Rampur Nand Lal apprised the Public Works Minister about the problems of the area and also gave information about the relief work being implemented.
On this occasion, District Council President Chandra Prabha Negi, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Rampur Harsh Amrendra Singh, Gram Panchayat Ghanvi Pradhan Raj Kumari and officers of various departments were present.
